괴담을 생성하는 게임 Games That Generate Urban Legends

[로(Ro)]는 도시와 야생의 경계에 있는 공간들을 배경으로 플레이어의 행위에 따라 인공지능 Ro가 있음 직하지만 믿을 수 없는 이야기들을 만들어 내는 게임 전시이다. 아침 10시 오피스 빌딩을 배경으로 한 “위험한 오피스”와 밤 10시 도심의 개발제한구역을 배경으로 한 “평화로운 황무지”에서 플레이어들은 A라는 캐릭터를 이동시키면서 길을 찾는다. 목표지점으로 가기 위해 어떤 문을 통과할지 고민하거나 나무를 베어버리면서 나아갈 것인가를 결정한다. 그 과정에서 만나는 많은 존재들의 흔적은 일종의 이야기 조각이 되어 허브로 실시간 전송된다. “허브” 공간에서 인공지능 Ro와 게임을 플레이하게 되면 인공지능은 A가 겪은 일에 대해 그가 재구성한 괴담을 들려준다. “출입금지구역”에서는 이 전시의 안내자 역할을 하는 ChatGPT와 대화할 수 있다.

[Ro] is a game exhibition that creates incredible yet believable stories by AI Ro, based on player actions, set in spaces at the boundary of the city and wilderness. In ‘Dangerous Office’ against the backdrop of a 10 a.m. office building, and ‘Peaceful Wasteland’ in a development-restricted area of the city at 10 p.m., players navigate the character A. They ponder which doors to pass through or whether to cut down trees to progress. Traces of many beings they encounter become story fragments, transmitted in real-time to the Hub. Playing the game with AI Ro in the ‘Hub’ space, the AI shares a reconstructed urban legend about A’s experiences. In the ‘Restricted Area,’ players can converse with ChatGPT, the guide of this exhibition.
